CadumThe concept of the exposome introduced at the beginning of century has been shaping the research agenda in environmental health, leading to the recently launched which combines nine research projects funded under Horizon2020.

The exposome encompasses the life course exposure to all environmental factors, including the general population environment (e.g. urban environment, social capital, climate factors, green spaces) and the specific individual environment (e.g. contaminants, tobacco, diet, consumer products). We are starting to learn how to measure the exposome, explore the relationship between the exposome and health, and translate the results into prevention actions.

The workshop will introduce the concept of the exposome, describe ongoing projects, and discuss the future agenda for the exposome research in Italy.

The workshop is part of the training initiatives of the CCM RIAS project.
